Ships are units of a fleet, and may have civilian roles such as research or have military roles.
Fleet
Fleets are a collection of ships. Civilian fleets are limited to one ship, while military fleets are limited by an empire's fleet capacity.
Fleet Capacity
This determines the limit of ships that can fit in an individual fleet, and this limit can be increased though research.

Range
Only when a turret/ship is within range to an enemy, it shoots.
Fire Rate
How often a ship fires. A fire rate of 0.10 means the turret is fired shots every 10 simulated days.
Turret Types
- Gatlings: Rapid fire at a short range, with low damage.
- Lasers: Constant damage at a short range, with a constant fire rate.
- Ballistic: Ballistic turrets have medium range and moderate fire rate.
- Snipers: Railguns have a long range, low fire rate but deal the most damage per hit.
